Daily Courier – As INEC deadline for political parties to submit running mate draws near, Daily Courier can authoritatively confirm that Nyesom Wike of Rivers state is favoured to be the running mate of Atiku Abubakar.

The National advisory committee headed by the Deputy Chairman, Umar Shehu Damagum made the resolution in a three hour meeting on Tuesday, June 14.

Impeccable sources revealed that the committee member ruled 16 to 3 in favour of the Wike ahead of Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Enugu State governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Another source who spoke on condition of anonymity said there will be a screening exercise tomorrow but also confirmed that the conclusion was in favour of Nyesom Wike.
