David Arin – Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji, at Yar Tashar village in Maru LGA of Zamfara State, have neutralised a notorious bandit kingpin, Bada.

 

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, Maj.-Gen. Musa Danmadami, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, said the bandit kingpin was eliminated while responding to an attack on farmers harvesting their produce.

 

Bada was said to have also attacked Yar Tashar village market and killed some farmers on October 13.

 

Maj. Gen. Danmadami said the troops had also on November 6, responded to bandits’ attack at Gamraki village, Kwatarkwashi District of Bungudu Local Government Area of the state and rescued the kidnapped victims.

 

He said the troops neutralised one bandit, while others fled with gunshot injuries and recovered arms and ammunition in the encounter.

 

Danmadami further disclosed that the troops also recovered one motorcycle, some weapons and valuables.

 

The military high command, however, commended the troops and urged the general public to avail troops of credible and timely information on criminal activities.
