DAILY COURIER – The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return to Delta state today to meet former governor, James Ibori and ex-militants in the region.

 

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC presidential flagbearer was expected to have a private meeting with the former governor and kingmaker in an undisclosed location.

 

According to Gbaramatuvoice, Tinubu will then storm Oporoza, the ancestral headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state.

 

He will pay homage to the Pere of Gbaramatu kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadagba.

 

After the homage, Tinubu’s train will proceed to the home of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, for a private discussion.

 

Tompolo was the former leader of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) and also the global ambassador of the Ijaw Nation, where he is expected to hold a private meeting with him.

 

He is also the chief priest of the Egbesu deity.

 

Inspite of efforts to diversify the economy in the last seven years, crude oil remains the biggest foreign exchange earner for Nigeria.

 

The meeting Friday is part of Tinubu’s strategic dialogue with major actors in Nigeria, in all fields.

 

Tompolo’s company recently got a N48 billion oil pipeline surveillance contract from the NNPC Limited.
