David Arin – Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, Nigerian Army, on Wednesday, came under attack from suspected members of Boko Haram terrorists at Yaleri Village, along the Damboa-Maiduguri Road, Borno State.
A Counter-insurgency expert, who confirmed the development, said the terrorist ambushed the troops escorting commercial vehicles at Yaleri Village, along the Damboa Road.
He said many of the Passengers scampered for safety, while the troops battled to repel the insurgents.
The report added that the jihadists rained heavy gunfire on the Military convoy moving in armoured and soft-skin vehicles, escorting the commercial vehicles, but the troops are currently responding to them.
However, no casualty has been confirmed as at the time of filing this report.
