Daily Courier – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted an 86-member Osun state governorship campaign council to be chaired by co-chaired by Lagos and Kano state governors.
Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state; Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state; Abubakar Atiku of Kebbi state; Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa state; Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state; Babagana Zulum of Borno; Yahaya Bello of Kogi state; Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state; Aminu Masari of Katsina state; Abdulrahaman AbdulRazaq of Kwara; Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa: Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state; Hope Uzodinma of Imo state; Simeon Lalong of Plateau; Mai Mala Buni of Yobe; Dave Umahi of Ebonyi; Ben Ayade of Cross River state; Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara; Femi Gbajabiamila and the Senate President Ahmed Lawan were all named as co-vice chairmen in the 86-member council.
The statement signed by the national chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu and the, the national secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore further disclosed that the campaign council will be inaugurated by the national chairman, Sen. (Dr.) Abdullahi Adamu CON, on Thursday, 23 June, 2022 by 2pm at the National Secretariat, Abuja.
Osun state governorship election is scheduled for July 16, 2022 with the incumbent governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola as the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard flagbearer.
