Daily Courier – The Minister of Power Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu has stated that the Bureau of Public Service Reforms is key to the entire governance
structure of Nigeria.

Abubakar said this while receiving the Director General of the BPSR, Mr.
Arabi Dasuki and his team who paid him a courtesy call at his office,
In Abuja on Tuesday,.

While chronicling the reforms in
the Nigeria electricity supply industry, the Minister further assured the BPSR of the
Ministry of Power’s cooperation to achieve their mandate.

In a press release, the Deputy Director /Head of Press Odutayo Oluseyi quoted the Minister as saying though the reform process takes time, he noted that both government and private sector involvement, and the reforms of the Public service of which that is being championed will further propel the
Ministry of Power to perform optimally.

Speaking earlier, the Director General of the BPSR, Mr. Arabi Dasuki
commended the reforms in the Power sector, stating that the their visit was to further reintroduce the BPSR.

It’s mandate according to him is to initiate action on reforms in the Public Service, coordinate , monitor, and evaluate the
implementation of the reforms in the Public Service.

He said the reforms in the financial sector especially, the single treasury
account in operation in Nigeria has attracted about 3 countries who have
come to study its operations and successes at curbing corruption.
