‘Seun Ibukun-Oni, Abuja – With the passing on of Queen Elizabeth II, some African leaders have declared days of mourning.

 

President Kenyatta of Kenya has declared three days of mourning.

 

In Rwanda President Kagame has declared ten days with the flags flying at half mast.

 

Malawi President Chakwera has declared ten days.

 

Queen Elizabeth, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, the nation’s figurehead and a towering presence on the world stage for seven decades, died peacefully at her home in Scotland on Thursday aged 96.
