• Rally PWDs for the unifier ticket of BAT/SHETIMA

DAILY COURIER – Persons with Disabilities, PWDs, South West leaders have hailed President Muhammadu Buhari as a hero of the PWDs community.

The President earned the heroic status according to the august gathering, due to his transparent inclusion of PWDs in his government, timely assent to the Discrimination against PWDs (Prohibition) Bill, establishment of National Commission for PWDs and other various intervention programmes for PWDs.

The APC National Leader, PWDs, Hon Tolu Bankole in his address at the South West, zonal meeting held at Owu Crown Hotel, Monatan, Ibadan on July, 27, 2022 said:

“Dear distinguished leaders, it will be a great disservice to our dearest President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, if I conclude this address without appreciating the president for his rare love for PWDs in Nigeria. The president, by assenting to our bill in record time has shown his total commitment and love for PWDs in Nigeria. We shall forever be grateful to this distinguished Progressive President. Sir, we love and wish you the best always.”

He called on all PWDs in Nigeria and diaspora to continue to pray and support his administration.

Hon Bankole congratulated the party’s Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima, charging the state leaders to work for there victory.

“I will use this opportunity to felicitate with all Yorubas on the victory of our revered leader, H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate of our great party, APC in the 2023 general elections, it is a well-deserved victory.

“Therefore, it is our collective responsibility to work harder and mobilise all PWDs in the South West, irrespective of their party affiliations to vote for this unifier ticket of BAT/SHETIMA in the 2023 general elections.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shetima Presidential ticket of APC is the Nigerian ticket and no other option is available to any of us. We must unite under this ticket for the good of all. End of Discussion. We must not allow anybody to divide us, we must stand by this decision, and all decisions of our great party, APC” he said.
