By Agatha Chitumu, Abuja – A new Permanent Secretary, Mrs Mr. Temitope Fashedemi, has resumed duty at the Federal Ministry of Power in Abuja.

 

The new development was sequel to the recent deployment of Permanent Secretaries to man various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF).

 

In a Press release dated 31st August, 2022, the Senior Information Officer, Margaret Oyinboade (Mrs), acting for the Director, stated that there was a brief handover ceremony.

 

At the ceremony, Fashedemi thanked the Honourable Ministers, the outing going Permanent Secretary and the Staff of the Ministry for the warm reception accorded him.

 

He then pledged his commitment in ensuring improvement in the Power Sector and in delivering on the Ministry’s Mandate.

 

The new Perm Sec also promise to continue from where his predecessor stopped, enjoining the staff, to work as team to further positioned the Ministry to achieve the mandate.

 

Speaking, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Nebeolisa Anako in his remarks, expressed his appreciation to the Management and Staff of the Federal Ministry of Power for the alloyed support and cooperation he received from them in the course of his duties, noting that he had also learnt a lot from them.

 

He further lauded the Honourable Minister and the Honourable Minister of State for Power for their favorable leadership disposition and guidance while piloting the affairs of Federal Ministry of Power.

 

He thereafter urged Staff to accord the new Permanent Secretary the same cooperation given to him,

 

Director, Finance and Account, Mr. Tayo Adewumi who spoke on behalf of the Management and Staff of Ministry of Power, thanked the outgoing Permanent Secretary for his exemplary leadership and mentorship.

 

He then assured the incoming Permanent Secretary of the total support, loyalty and commitment of management and staff of Federal Ministry of Power.
