DAILY COURIER – Friends of APC National Persons With Disabilities, PWDs Leader, Hon.Tolu Bankole, on Tuesday said his tenure has ensured economic, educational, social, and political inclusion of PWDs across the country within its first year in office.
This is as they maintained that Bankole’s one year in office has remained focused on transforming the lives of PWDs in significant ways.
The congratulatory message on behalf of Concerned Friends of Hon. Tolu Bankole further wished him well and look forward to many good opportunities for the PWDs in the coming days.
“…we say congratulations on your one year in office as the All Progressives Congress (APC), National PWDs Leader.
“You have accomplished a lot in the last one year, though silently but they speak volume and hope for more accomplishments ahead.
“Your proactive efforts within the last one year in the inclusion of the PDWs of the Party are most appreciated.
“Among your transformative and PWDs inclusive achievements within your first 365 days in office, your quest for education has earned us many educational empowerment such as free WAEC registration and bursary to students in the PWDs community across the country.
“We are indeed blessed to have you as a force and support for over 33million PWDs in Nigeria. Your philanthropy has elevated many PWDs through various empowerment, skill acquisition and sustained cash gifts to hundreds of PWDs across the country.
“We appreciate your experience which you brought to bear in the inclusion of the PWDs in our great Party. You secured historic free nomination forms for all PWDs aspirants in 2022 APC primaries while ensuring we had a robust representation on the Presidential Campaign Council which contributed to the victory of our President- elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“You have stood very tall for the PWDs of the Party as a mediator and in the spirit of oneness you single handedly introduced and organized the first PWDs National Summit within the last one year in office. The visibility of the PWDs under your leadership has engendered prompt responses to issues affecting the community and continued to open doors of collaboration and partnership with government and non governmental agencies to stop discrimination against PWDs.
“Worthy of mention is how you lobbied for the installation of a lift in the APC National Secretariat in order to make Buhari House inclusive and ease movement of PWDs within the offices.
“You have raised the bar of advocacy for the rights of PWDs across the country by speaking and putting pressure on government and private establishments to respect the rights of PWDs to a decent and dignified life on numerous occasions in the public space.
“With people like you, we are sure of many good opportunities for the PWDs and the future is bright for us all.
“Congratulations our Supersonic PWDs Leader” the statement reads.
