Patrick Kelechi, Lagos – The Lagos State Government has opened the bridge constructed as part of the reconstruction of the failed section of the Abule-Ilogbo-Era Road in Ojo Local Government Area of the State.

The project was awarded on December 3, 2020 but due to effect of COVID-19 Pandemic, the contractor, Messrs CCECC was unable to mobilize to site until August 2021.

The failed section on the road was as a result of overflooding from the canal. The road has been in a dilapidated state for years, hence the need to construct a bridge became imperative.

The bridge was opened for use on the August 6, 2022 to ease vehicular movement to and from the affected communities while the entire road will be completed soon.

This, according to officials of the state government, is in line with the commitment of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to make commuting across the state comfortable for residents and visitors.
