Ita Enang picks guber form, says no faction in Akwa Ibom APC

Daily Courier – Senator Ita Enang is the first to pick the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom state at the APC national headquarters.

Enang hinted that there is no more faction in Akwa Ibom APC promising that the party primaries will be rancour free in the state.

He said this today, April 26, 2022 while speaking to journalists after purchasing his form worth 50 million naira.

“There is no more faction in Akwa Ibom APC. All the interest have sank into one family and the family is All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari and the national chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu. We will conduct the contest under one leadership in one venue with one candidate and one winner will emerge in the gubernatorial, senatorial, house of representatives, and house of assembly elections. We will come up with one candidate each” he said.

Enang commended the national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the organizing secretary and all the national officers for the well organized manner they have handled the sales of forms and in making sure that at every stage and in every state they had ensured that their is amity and unity among the aspirants.

Speaking further on his plans for Akwa Ibom state, Enang promised to bring accountability, change in the mode of doing things especially in relating with the federal government.

He said, “I will bring accountability, change in the mode of doing things, in the manner with which we generate funds in the state and the national level attracting and working more with federal agencies to be able to bring development to the state and giving attention to agriculture, education and declaring emergency on the development of the youth and human infrastructures.”

Ita Solomon Enang is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs. He previously served as Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters (Senate) from 27 August 2015 to 29 May 2019. He represented the Itu and Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011. He was elected Senator for the Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District (Uyo) from 2011 to 2015.
