Intelligence gathering crucial in tackling insecurity – Senator Adamu

Daily Courier – The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdulahi Adamu, has urged Nigerians to provide security agencies with intelligent reports so as to effectively tackle the rising insecurity bedevilling various parts of the country.

Senator Adamu gave the charge on Monday, when he paid a Sallah homage to The Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Chindo Yanusa, in his palace in Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State.

He noted that the 2023 general election is very crucial to the people of Nigeria, hence need to fight insecurity ahead of the election.

Earlier, the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Chindo Yanusa, called on the people to quickly embark on farming activities as the rains have come to stay to maximize the season.

He called on the Federal Government to provide security to farmers and the country at large.

In an interview with journalists, the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Adesina Soyemi, said the command has adequately provided enough personnel for the state to deal with hooligans and bandits that are willing to cause problems in the state.

He assured residents of the area of adequate security and he advised them to go about their businesses as nobody will be molested.
