The presidential candidate of Labour Party in next year’s general election, Mr Peter Obi, has cautioned the people of Benue State against voting candidates that have nothing to offer. He gave the assurance of his readiness to reduce poverty and insecurity, if voted into power.

Addressing his supporters in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State on Friday, Mr Obi also reiterated his call on Benue people to vote for only candidates like him who they know would deliver on the promises.

“Vote for a person who know you and know your pains. There is poverty and suffering in the country. I’m committed to reducing them a the lowest minimum. Together, we could have a Benue that will be secured where farmers could go to their farms and produce without any fear.”

He said he wanted a Benue State where children would be in school and internally displaced camps closed.
