Daily Courier – The support group of Prince Taribo Williams have protested the unjust disqualification and embargo of 62 political wards and 6 area councils of FCT prohibiting party executives and delegates from having any interface with Prince Taribo Williams.
The group stormed PDP headquarters on Monday displaying placards with inscriptions “Don’t kill PDP in FCT”, “Don’t disqualify non-indigene”, and “We stand with Taribo Williams”.
Addressing newsmen, the leader of the group, Henry Edwards, accused FCT state leaders of plotting mischievous actions to frustrate the political ambition of prince Taribo Williams.
“It is quite unfortunate that dreams of the founding fathers of PDP are being compromised by the PDP FCT state executive whose activities are being sponsored by their paymaster Sen. Philip T. Aduda by using the party organs at the state and local government level to qualify our principal”
“Against the party belief in fairness, equity and justice, statutory delegates that have interfaced with Prince Taribo Williams in the cause of consultation are being suspended unjustly from all party activities in FCT”.
“We hereby call on the National working committee of our great party to call the PDP state chairman to order and request with immediate effect, that all suspended delegates and ward chairmen be recalled.”
The group, however, threatened to seek redress from a competent court of jurisdiction asking the court to suspend all primary activities as it concerns PDP FCT.
