Daily Courier – Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) boss, Dabiri-Erewa has congratulated Nigeria’s Israel Adesanya for retaining his middleweight UFC belt today Sunday, July 3, 2022.
The Chairman/CEO, (NIDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa in a statement by Mr. Gabriel Odu of Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the Commission, congratulated Israel Adesanya for the giant strides by defeating his opponent Jared Cannonier to retain the title and extend his winning streak to 12-0.
She hailed Adesanya’s performance and applaud him for showing the true Nigerian Spirit of “Not Giving Up” of Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.
She urged him to sustain the momentum and win more laurels for Nigeria in Kickboxing.
Adesanya early on Sunday morning retained his middleweight UFC belt after his fourth title defence against Jared Cannonier.
The win is Adesanya’s 12th consecutive victory as a middleweight in the UFC, only one behind the record set by UFC legend Anderson Silva, as the Last Stylebender continues to cement his legacy as one of the greatest to ever step foot in the Octagon.
