During the meeting, Senator Adamu expressed satisfaction with Nigeria – China relations and efforts being jointly made to eliminate poverty in Nigeria and also commended China for supporting infrastructural development in Nigeria and hopes both ruling Parties will continue to engage their people on how best to serve them.

“I see our relationship with China as very positive because you offered Nigeria assistance in form of loans and others to build our infrastructures. These things are for the country and our party.

“We are happy for your finding time to come and share with us your thinking about where we are and what we are doing with the state of the economy and the people. As well as how to eliminate totally poverty. Nigeria as a developing economy, the problem is huge with poverty among millions of people. We are always practical and honest to say so. We believe that their is a huge challenge on the government to see how we can minimize the level of poverty and the number of people who are in this bracket. We are concern with the level of poverty because we are the party in government. So, we are the first in line in the crusade for a change in mindset and psychology and attitude in governance” the chairman said.

‘We have killed poverty in China’

The Communist Party representative, observed that the two political parties can collaborate for the common good of its people in different spheres of endeavours especially on the economy.

“What we have done in China is to kill poverty. Last year we reached the zero benchmark where there is no Chinese citizen living in poverty. We killed poverty. So, we can exchange ideas on how Nigeria can pull its citizens from poverty” he said.

Baocai used the opportunity to invite the chairman to the national convention of the Communist Party of China which is slated for between September 1-2, 2022.
