Daily Courier – Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged as the standard flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party.
The Waziri Adamawa polled a total of 371 votes to defeat fierce rival Nyesom Wike who had a total of 237 votes.
Other aspirants include Tariah Olivia who got 1 vote, Sam Ohuabunwa got 1 vote, Pius Anyim amassed a total of 14 votes, Udom Emmanuel got 38 votes, Bala Mohammed pulled 20 votes while Bukola Saraki pulled 70 votes, and 12 votes were declared void.
Atiku Abubakar will now represent the People Democratic Party as a presidential in the 2023 general elections.
