Daily Courier – The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic party Atiku Abubakar has announced the governor of Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as his preferred choice of vice presidential candidate.
In an address to announce his running mate Abubakar said:
“Ladies and gentlemen can you join me as I announce my running mate, His Excellency, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa.”
He said that his running mate will be the one that have the qualities of a president, a person that understands the deep rot the country has suffered, must be the person that can stand by him in fighting insecurity of the country.

He stated that his running mate should not be afraid to speak his mind in running the affairs of the country and assist in the running of the affairs of the country.
Abubakar said the PDP has assisted him to search for a befitting person from the governors after narrowing down to only three which he will be picking one of them.
He stated that the person had identified all the qualities that the young people and the country needs to bring stability to the government.
