Daily Courier – The chief of staff to Gombe state government, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari has said that his principal, Alh Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya will do greater things to create a new Gombe if elected in the next election.

The chief of staff stated this when he submitted the completed nomination and expression of interest forms for the gubernatorial election next year.

Kyari unveiling the score card of the governor said: “Any person that goes to Gombe now knows that Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has transformed Gombe over the last three years. The people of Gombe are grateful for what he has done. You go to Gombe today, you know you’ll see a new Gombe. And like one of his colleagues said when he came a few weeks ago, he called my principal the quiet storm. Gombe has changed and Gombe is for the better. So I invite you to come to Gombe and see for yourself.”

On the processes leading to the general elections, he noted that it is good the leadership of the party has upheld a perfect process thus far.

“This is part of the foundation’s we raised, we left it on ground, and it’s perfect. they’ve improved on what we left behind. So it’s a very perfect arrangement and I’m proud of this party, that we are going stronger and stronger” he said.

He boasted that if the election is conducted today, APC will become victorious. “Well, we have a saying in Gombe and I will say it in Hausa, either today, tomorrow or now we are ready for the elections, no shaking.”

Kyari also dismissed the purported defection of bigwigs from the ruling party. He said, “I think you’re not properly up to date. “We are taking the campaign’s from the PDP nobody is leaving the PDP, we had a few defections a few months ago. But people are tripping into the APC. We are solid on ground and we are ready to go” he added.
